It's a -better- experience on the iphone than on the desktop, in large part due to the finger gestures. Since it is custom for the iphone, I'm not sure this "interactive driving routes" is going to be on the iphone yet but they do have the live traffic conditions. Of course if NZ.com had maps like this it would be useless on the iphone because iphone doesn't allow flash sites. Google maps on iphone is great.
